The coming G7 Hiroshima summit is an insult to the Hiroshima people and to all working people in the world. The seven countries’ leaders have been responsible for countless crimes as described in the statement of this Citizen Rally. We as Chinese would never forget or forgive the terrible consequences of imperialism and colonialism which had repeatedly invaded China and killed millions of Chinese between 1840 and 1953. The G7 were all part of this crime. Although currently they no longer fight among themselves their imperialist nature have never been reformed, not for one day. Their peace among themselves have always been at the expenses of the working people, either in other parts of the world or in their own countries.
China got rid of imperialist domination since 1949 and has been rising as a strong power rapidly in the past four decades. Unfortunately the dictatorial regime in Beijing decided to follow the footstep of old imperialist couintries. It has smashed the autonomy of Hong Kong. It has not only made illegitimate claims over Taiwan but also threatened a military take over. But the so called “one China consensus” cannot be interpreted as “Taiwan belongs to the People’s Republic of China (PRC)”. This is only the unilateral interpretation by Beijing. As a matter of fact, there are two countries simoutaneously claiming to be “China”. And the official name of Taiwan is still called “Republic of China”, or ROC. The US and Japan’s rhetoric support of Taiwan cannot hide the fact that they never supported Taiwan people’s right to self-determination. In contrast we reiterate our demand that it must be respected by the world, and above all by Beijing and the G7. While the former should renounce its agression against Taiwan, the latter must not try to use Taiwan as a pawn for their own imperialist agenda. We call on the particpants of this rally to support the Hong Kong and Taiwan’s people. Last but not the least, we appeal to you not to forget our Tibentan, Uyghurs and Mongolian brothers and sisters as well !
Say “No” to the G7 summit! The international solidarity of peace loving people shall prevail!

来るG7広島サミットは、広島の人々、そして世界のすべての労働者に対する侮辱である。7カ国の指導者は、この市民の集いの声明に書かれているように、数え切れないほどの犯罪に責任を負っている。私たちは中国人として、1840年から1953年の間に繰り返し中国を侵略し、何百万人もの中国人を殺した帝国主義や植民地主義の恐ろしい結果を決して忘れることも許すこともない。G7はみなこの犯罪の当事者であった。現在、彼らはもはや互いに争うことはないが、彼らの帝国主義的な性格は一日たりとも改められたことはない。彼らの平和は常に、世界の他の地域や自国の労働者人民の犠牲の上に成り立っているのだ。
中国は1949年以来、帝国主義の支配から脱し、過去40年間、急速に強国として台頭してきた。しかし、残念ながら、北京の独裁政権は、古い帝国主義国家の足跡を踏襲することを決定した。彼らは香港の自治を破壊した。また、台湾に対して不法な主張を行うだけでなく、軍事的な占領をすると脅した。しかし、いわゆる「一つの中国のコンセンサス」は、「台湾は中華人民共和国に属している」と解釈することはできない。これはあくまでも北京の一方的な解釈である。実のところ、「中国」を名乗る国は、同時に2つ存在する。そして、台湾の正式名称は今でも「中華民国」あるいはROCである。米国と日本が美辞麗句を並べて台湾を支持しても、台湾の人々の自決権を支持したことはないという事実を隠すことはできない。 これに対して私たちは、台湾の自決権が世界によって、とりわけ北京とG7によって尊重されなければならないという要求を繰り返し表明する。前者は台湾に対する侵略を放棄すべきであり、後者は台湾を自らの帝国主義的アジェンダのための手先として利用しようとしてはならないのである。私たちは、この集会に参加する人々が、香港と台湾の人々を支援するよう呼びかけます。最後になりましたが、私たちは皆さんに、我がチベット人、ウイグル人、モンゴル人の兄弟姉妹たちのことも同様に忘れないように、と訴えます！
G7サミットに「ノー」を突きつけよう！平和を愛する人々の国際連帯は勝利する！
