setup a site that links to as many of these appro. tech sites as
possible.

Dear Robert,
            Thanks for your response. You are right there are
seemingly infinite numbers of appop. tech. sites. But to simply offer
these sites to individuals would not be adaquate. It would be
overwhelming. What I am trying to do is to make it as easy as possible
for individuals to access ways to make them and their neighborhoods
self-sustainable in the shortest amount of time. Y2K makes the time
constraints very tight. To become self-sustainable, normally, takes
years, by making this list available and easily accessible is the only
(imho) way to make sustainability possible in such a short time. The
long-term sustainability, can come later, after 2000.
     That is why I am seeking more volunteers to cull these sites (I
will e- mail links) for the best and most appropriate ideas and to be
placed into order, e-mailed back to me to eventually (hopefully within
weeks) be posted on my site: <A

http://bagelhole.hypermart.net/</A> , the <A
HREF="http://www.cassandraproject.org/">cassandra project</A>, <A
HREF="http://www.cairns.net.au/~sharefin/Markets/Alt11.htm">Alternative
Survival Information</A> in Australia, and many other sites throughout
the world.
     Then the hope is that many more great ideas will be solicited
with this greater visibility, and the list will constantly be upgraded
and improved, making it easier and easier for these ideas to be
implemented.
     Its, a simple, almost prosaic, stategy to create resilient
neighborhoods globally, quickly, as both a contingency for disaster
(y2k, being the catalyst), and the groundwork for a paradigm shift.
Calling for compassion from those with clear vision manifesting in
collaboration on the widest possible scale. There is only. . .
