In my humble opinion,
the very least you can do is stock up on batteries, dry goods, water
(as if preparing for a hurricane) etc
run backups and get hard copies of all records you need for your home
and personal business.
Nothing Beats a Printout!!
PS a Y2K-compliant computer won't hurt either.
