Re: y2k: transforming the system

It is then up to the rest of humanity to take this escape route from
the looming ecological disasters created by today's flawed paradigms.

Then, and only then, can we welcome the new millennium with great
joy.

Lets keep it simple. I have been sending this idea to you in so many
ways. If there is something you disagree with, lets discuss it.

The most criminal organizations in the world are sovereign entities
known as nations, states, kingdoms, empires, corporations, etc. They
are all violently protected and promote violence, wars, oppression,
torture, secrecy, and disrespect in general.

The CIA can print money in any currency. Their power is unaccountable
and virtually limitless. Whoever controls the CIA, controls.

Progressive people, the way around this, is not necessarily educating
the masses. There is a hidden arrogance here. It certainly is not
appealing to the goodness of those in power. By having a lot of
signatures attached to some statement.

Do you want to change things, or just play around doing noble things
that are essentially ineffective? These are subtle forms of denial,
pretending to be doing something, when in fact, nothing is being
affected as you planned.

The giant is going to fall. Maybe y2k, maybe not, Y2k is global, but
its small compared to global warming, pollution of the food chain,
weather changes. Everybody feels the tenuousness of the times. The
nineties are shaky, with or without an earthquake.

We just need to be prepared for when the fall comes (which may be
soon). We need to have the groundwork in place.

It is clear to the clear minded, that humanity must move to
self-sustainable, autonomous, mutually co-operating, communities. This
means no nations, no sovereign bodies (they serve no function, that
can't be done thru mutual co- operation, and they are the main cause
of all violence in the world). No economy. People need to do as they
want, not what they have to. This is the way out of the Wasteland.
Imagine, how conditioning under the competitive paradigm makes people
think of themselves before others. Under the paradigm of mutual
co-operation, the "conditioning" would be the opposite. People would
want to do what's right for everybody. This is what would be valued.

The trade off, would be, much, much more would be available for
everyone, locks and keys would be unnecessary. Boundaries would be
fluid. The average person would be happier than the richest person
today. Sovereignty exists only for the individual. Society would be
inclusive.

That doesn't mean there would be no privacy or private ownership. It
just would be on a smaller scale, the amount one would own. You
wouldn't want or need to own much. Everything essentially, would be
available or accessible. Non-polluting technology would exist for the
people and not for any war machine. Travel would be wide open. You
could stay anywhere, essentially, any community. You wouldn't "go to
work". You would stay in a community and help where you were best or
best needed. Or you would go somewhere else, travel.

This probably sounds too utopic for some. Anything Utopic is
considered unrealistic, reflecting the pathetic cynicism of the
pathetically unrealized lives of the multitudes.

Don't argue about "human nature". Human nature is adaptive. Anyone is
capable of going from saint to devil with everything in between each
moment of their lives. Under the paradigm of "Survival of the
fittest", "Dog eat Dog", competition, people act very bad. They feel
they are on their own. They must fend for themselves. Its like
constantly feeling cornered. Caught between a rock and a hard place.
In the horns of the existential dilemma: having to compromise the
integrity of one's sole in order to survive or "make it". Everyone is
compromised under capitalism.

I am working on making neighborhoods sustainable before the year 2000,
globally. Obviously, a daunting challenge. I have been at it 10-15
hours a day for the last 6 months. And I am more confident now than
ever. I am making progress, and I have a way to do it. But I won't go
into that now, suffice it to say, if you are interested, you might
visit my website (still not finished) http://bagelhole.hypermart.net/

This is the strategy, to lay the bridge (sustainable neighborhoods),
the groundwork, to get from here to there. Let the system crash (stock
market?, y2k?). This is the preparation.
