Y2K Food Prices

 Hi.........

Do you know of any on-line documents about the possible affect
on food prices of the service disruptions that are likely to
 result from Y2K?

 - What is the likelyhood of food supply disruption?

 - What is the likely affect on food prices?

Assuming that the citrus fruit supply to the City of Toronto
was reduced by 10%, what affect would that have on prices?
Assume a 50% reduction in supply, what affect would that
 have on prices?

What are the chances that the supply of various food commodities
would be disrupted on a sporadic basis? Particularly refrigerated
 foods.

How much of a food supply disruption would be needed to cause
a 100% increase in the "food basket" cost?

What is the likelyhood of such disruptions in 2000?

My feeling, as a retired truck driver, is that significant
disruptions are almost guaranteed in 2000 and that such
disruptions will cause at least a 100% increase in overall
 food prices in Toronto.

But, I need documents of some kind, that I can then use to hassle
local authorities. Any suggestions (URLs) would be welcome!

 Thanks.....!!!!
