アジア平和連合の合意点
アジア平和連合は、地球的な平和と正義をもとめて活動するために結成された。私たちのもっとも緊急な目標は、９月１１日米国に加えられた攻撃への米国主導の軍事報復を止めさせることである。私たちは、テロリズム、すなわち政治目的達成のために罪のない民間人に意図的に向けられる暴力を、国家によるものであれ、国家以外の行為者によるものであれ、非難する。私たちは、イスラムを悪魔のように描くことにも、宗教を破壊的目的のために悪用することに反対する。私たちは、９月１１日のテロ攻撃の実行者たちを、国際、国内法の確立された手続きによって裁くことを求める。同時に私たちは、テロリズムとの闘いの焦点を、不正義、文化的傲慢さ、搾取、貧困などテロリズムの根本原因、今日強力な企業体・国家が上から押し付けるグローバル化のプロセスによってますます悪化している根本原因、に向けるべきだと信じている。
私たちは、米国が、軍事的手段によって中東の石油、石油ガスに無制限のアクセスを確立しようとする政策を撤回し、またこの地域における抑圧的諸政権への支持を取り消すよう求める。私たちは、アラビア半島、ペルシャ湾、インド洋からの米軍撤退を求める。私たちは、占領地からのイスラエル軍の撤退を求める国連総会の諸決議が実施されることを求める。私たちはまたパレスチナ国家の即時樹立を支持する。
私たちは人道的援助物資を即刻アフガニスタンに届けることを要求する。そして、人道援助をいかなる軍事作戦からも切り離すよう要求する。私たちは、アフガニスタンに何らかの政府を押し付けようとする外国人による外からの工作に一切反対である。その代わりに、アフガニスタンに民主的に選挙された政府の成立をもたらす国連の下での努力を促したい。
私たちは、アジア諸国政府が、米英の報復戦争に参戦はもとより、支持をも与えないことを要求する。私たちは、この要求を、とくに、憲法上疑義のある軍隊を、米国のアフガニスタン戦争に参加させることを決定した日本政府に向けるものである。
Asia Peace Alliance
Key Points of Unity:
The Asia Peace Alliance has come together to work for global peace and
justice. Our most immediate aim is to stop the US-led military retaliation
for the September 11th attacks on the US. We condemn terrorism, the deliberate
use of violence against innocent civilians, to achieve political purposes
- by both state and non-state actors. We oppose both the demonization of
Islam and the manipulation of religion for destructive ends. We call for
bringing the perpetrators of the September 11th terrorist attacks to justice
via established processes of domestic or international law. At the same time,
we believe that fighting terrorism must focus on its root causes in injustices,
cultural arrogance, exploitation and poverty currently being aggravated
through top down processes of globalization imposed by powerful corporations
and states.
We call for an end to the US policy of gaining unrestricted access to Middle
Eastern oil and gas through military means and support for repressive regimes
in the region. We call for the withdrawal of US forces from the Arabian
Peninsula, Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean. We call for the implementation
of UN general assembly resolutions calling for military withdrawal of Israel
from the occupied territories. We also support the immediate establishment
of a Palestinian state.
We demand the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and
the delinking of such aid from any military campaign. We oppose all external
efforts by foreigners to impose a government in Afghanistan. Instead, we would
like to see efforts made under the United Nations to establish a democratically
elected government in Afghanistan.
We demand that governments in Asia not support, let alone participate in,
the Anglo-American war of retaliation but to seek solutions other than military.
We address this request particularly to the Japanese government that has
decided to send its constitutionally questionable military forces to support
the US war on Afghanistan.
