WE WILL CONTINUE THE STRUGGLE

Forced eviction of the homeless in Tokyo, JAPAN

----------------------------------------------------------------

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government finally practiced a forced eviction of the homeless on 24th January.

About 200 homeless people and their supporters barricaded an underground passage and had continued to sit-in to protest against the forced eviction from a previous night to the time when they were evicted.

4 people were arrested just because they were regarded as nuisances. About 40 homeless people were interned in a place like a concentration camp. There is ever no freedom to go out from the internment camp. Do you think it really is a shelter for the homeless that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government calls?

The right to live of the homeless was obviously violated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government at Shinjuku, Tokyo Japan.

However, Many homeless people still live in Shinjuku. We would like to protest against the forced eviction.

TO PROTEST AGAINST SUCH VIOLENT AND ILLEGAL ACT, PLEASE SEND E-MAIL DIRECTLY TO THE METROPOLITAN GOVERNMENT FROM ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD, AND ALSO PLEASE SEND US E-MAIL OF YOUR SUPPORT FOR OUR OPINION.
