Request of the Ministry of Justice and the Immigration Bureau

----------------------------------------------------------------

The trial of Mr. Li Song, Chinese pro-democracy activist will be held on July 29th.

Mr. Li are making an application for bail. But there is high possibility of detention or repatriation by the Immigration Bureau without delay even if he will be released on bail from prosecution.

Requests are currently being gathered that the Ministry of Justice and the Immigration Bureau give up detaining or repatriating Mr. Li Song. The authorities are not open their e-mail addresses. We sincerely urge you to send us by July 31st. These messages will be conveyed to them.

I am deeply concerned that Chinese pro-democracy activist Mr.Li Song
is facing a possible detention and repatriation by the Immigration
Bureau.

After the Hanshin big quake, Mr.Li Song had been cooperated with
local students and acted for rescue movement in a way of
coherence. Also had been made various activities such as lectures
about the school life of China in Japanese local schools. Besides,
served as a director of the Japanese branch of Democratic China Front.
Through this organisation he committed to many activities as a
pro-democracy activist.

Democratic China Front has a different opinion from Chinese
government. So it has a high possibility to face severe human right
abuse when Mr. Li Song is repatriated to China. Because he has been
acted in front of this organisation.

I request you to consider his case as he is an refugee applicant.
Please take measures not to be detained or deported by the
Immigration Bureau. Thank you very much for your attention.
