[interdoc-y2k 320] “Making Meaning: A Challenge for the New Century"

Here is an invitation from Amanda Butcher to the third and final installment in Robert Theobald's series of
satellite videoconferences. I highly recommend it as a group experience -- gather with some friends for a rich
discussion experience.

Please see http://www.resilientcommunities.org/ for details and to find out
how to tune in your dish or find a receiving site near you.

*********

Join over 100 communities on May 27 from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon (Pacific Time) for
the Resilient Communities videoconference, “Making Meaning: A Challenge for the
New Century.”

Special guests include authors Vicki Robin (Your Money or Your Life), Robert
Theobald (Reworking Success), and Rachel Bagby (Divine Daughters). This live,
interactive program will explore personal and spiritual practices that honor
work, family, community and the environment.

Contact Amanda Butcher at 509-484-6733 or amandab@nrf.org or visit
http://www.resilientcommunities.org for more information.

This event is co-sponsored by Northwest Regional Facilitators and Washington
State University Cooperative Extension. Please send this invitation on to
others who you think would like to engage in this conversation. $10 per person
helps cover satellite production costs.

Also:
If you didn't have a chance to participate in our April 7th Live-Satellite
Videoconversation on "Common Sense Common Ground: Preparing for Y2K", you may
want to look and listen to some of the resources from that program. Go directly
to: http://www.resilientcommunities.org/videoconversation.htm . From there you
can view a 2 minute Y2K video montage which was used to open the program --
nicely done. You can also listen to a "real audio" recording of the broadcast.
Additionally, you can print out a copy of the wisdom quotes we used, and order
a copy of the videotape.

As important as the live-satellite videoconversation itself, we've sorted
through and come up with a "short-list" of what we consider to be the most
valuable resources for thinking about Y2K. You can access these
at http://www.resilientcommunities.org/Y2K/Y2Kresourcesindex.htm

And finally, David LaChapelle, our close colleague from
http://www.tidesofchange.org has written a wonderful, insightful, soulful
recount of his experience participating in the memorial service in Littleton,
Colorado. We're offering it as our feature of the week at
http://www.resilientcommunities.org/main.htm
