[interdoc-y2k 307] RE: V1 #71

In reference to the LA Times story that quotes Yardeni as saying that
he has reduced his prediction of severe global recession to 45%. This
quote is taken from Yardeni's site on 3/29/1999:

"As of March 1999, I still see a 70% chance of a severe global
recession."

What happened?! Did LA Times blow it, or did someone "get to"
Yardeni? If he believes that the chances of recession dropped that
much in such a short time period, he must have learned some critical
information to change his views. This seems like BIG news. Yet
nowhere on the site did I see an explanation. Does this bother anyone
else?
