Hello Jeroen......
I am NOT an expert in anything. I just happen to read and
forward a lot of email.
I will forward your request to a few Y2K email lists.
Subscribers of those lists may wish to reply to you.
Personally, I think that you would be doing a disservice to your
viewers by focussing on what "Y2k-specialists who are taking
measures for the year 2000" and on bizarre reactions to the year
2000 problem such as "building a blockhouse somewhere in Australia."
The issue that is being ignored by governments, computer experts,
academics and activists, is the question of government responsibility
for preparing citizens to survive possible disruptions caused by Y2K.
Jeroen..... Has any level of government in Holland taken on the
responsibility of preparing citizens to survive possible disruptions
caused by Y2K?
If so, what are they doing?
How do they define the risk?
How do they define the consequences of various levels of risk?
What are they telling the public?
Who is teaching people how to prepare?
If they are not doing that, who is?
Are governments simply saying that it is up to individuals to
survive as best they can?
If you want to help the people of Holland, I think that you should
tell people what your governments are, or are not, doing.
Jeroen..... Ask the experts, what is the probability of disruption
to the food supply, especially imported and refrigerated foods.
What effect will that have on food prices? What is the government
doing about that?
Good Luck.....!!!!!!
