The Y2K problem

Dear Verzola,

We, that is most of the computer users around the world, and
specifically, the developing world, are very happy to read about the
dialogue we have been having on the problem.

We are not professional programmers but mere users. While we agree on
various points about the how the error or stupidity or lack of
forethought or mere convenience got in to creating this problem, what
we are currently and urgently need to know is how we cope with this,
what remedial measures can be taken at this point in time.

I, like several thousands of others, like to be guided on this.
