The Pearson Peacekeeping Centre announces its course

  C-03: Myths And Reality: The Legal Framework Of Modern Peacekeeping,


DATES:  8th to the 19th of October 2001.

Content:
Peacekeeping and Post-reconstruction operations take place within a 
framework of international organization Charters and bodies of 
international law and conventions. It is then clear that a general 
understanding of international public, humanitarian, and human rights law, 
and the issues that face these instruments is essential in the conduct of 
international peacekeeping efforts. C03 describes and explores relevant 
issues arising from the continued evolution of the major areas of 
international law affecting peacekeeping.
