MONITORING WOMEN'S SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
- INVITATION TO A PANEL EVENT 6. June at the Beijing+5 UNGASS 

 In collaboration with the 3 regional women's networks ARROW - Asian-Pacific Ressource and Research Centre, DAWN - Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN Africa), LACWHN - The Latin American and Caribbean Women's Health Network, K.U.L.U.-Women and Devlopment, Denmark, is inviting to:

"Monitoring the continued implementation of women's sexual and 
reproductive health and rights at a regional and global level"

Rashidah Abdullah, ARROW, Malaysia; Ana Maria Pizarro, SI MUJER, Nicaragua;
Litha Musyimi-Ogana, African Centre for Empowerment, Gender and Advocacy, Kenya;
Jyoti Gade, CHETNA, India, and Rowena Alwarez, ISSA, Philippines.

Time:  Tuesday  6. June 2000 kl. 18.30 - 20.00
  
The panel will present results from an international one-week workshop event: "Workshop on Regional and Local Monitoring of the Implementation of Priority Areas within the ICPD Plan of Action"  held in Copenhagen in January - February 2000. The workshop was organised by K.U.L.U.-Women and Development in co-ordination with DAWN Africa, ARROW and LACWHN and had 14 participants from women's NGOs and networks in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
The results of the workshop is now published in a report to be launched and discussed at the panel event at the Beijing+5 UNGASS on 6. June.
 
Copies of the workshop report: "Monitoring Women's Sexual and Reproductive Rights" will be available at the panel event, or can be requested from K.U.L.U.-Women and Development's Beijing+5 delegation. - See contact adresses below.
