Dear Ruth

I am Bernice A.  See from the Tebtebba Foundation, Inc.  (Indigenous
Peoples' International Centre for Policy Research and Education)  which is
based in Baguio City,  Philippines.  I am doing the networking for the
Asian Indigenous Women's Network.  I read the announcement on the Forum and
I am glad that there are sessions which tackle the issues concerning
indigenous women. As part of my task of coming up with an Asian indigenous
women's situationer,  can you provide me with names of indigenous women or
their organizations,  or advocates who can help me in collecting
information about the indigenous women of Taiwan?  I would be very much
interested in getting a copy of the proceedings of the Forum when it
happens so I will keep in touch.  On the other hand,  I would like to come
up with the Asian indigenous women's situationer before the June 2000
Beijing + 5 Review and if possible, in time for the 2nd PrepCom of the
Review this February.  Because of this, I would like to contact as many
indigenous women's organizations as possible.  I hope you will be able to
help out in this request.  Thanks you and more power to you  and I
congratulate you for your efforts.
