Main Activities of APWSL-Japan

　 One of APWSL-Japan`s main activities is publishing a newsletter in Japanese("APWSL TODAY") and English("APWSL JAPAN") four times a year. It reports on labor issues in Japan and overseas which are often overlooked by the international media.

APWSL-Japan also publishes"LINKS", a compilation of translations of labor-related materials from overseas, four times a year.

A committee plans annual workers exchanges or alternative tours to countries with APWSL chapters. The most recent ones were to Aotearoa/New Zealand and Hong Kong/China. Finally, the group is active in supporting many labor struggles overseas, perhaps five to ten at any given time. Some recent solidarity actions involved Bridgestone/ Firestone and New Otani Hotel workers in the USA, Suzuki Motors workers in Thailand, and workers at a subsidiary of a Japanese MNC in Korea.
