Occasional Papers
Occasionally, JANN feels the need for greater clarifcation of certain areas concerning the Afghan Reconstruction process. These papers do not necessarily reflect the views of our members. Below are some of our papers in Japanese and English.

The Berlin Conference; The paper discusses the outcomes of the Berlin Conference, the role of the 'Securing Afghanistan's Future' document and the reactions by NGOs to these developments. (5/4/04)
DDR; The paper covers the history of disarmament in Afghanistan and DDR process up to the Pilot Phases. (12/2/04)
Accompanying the DDR paper is a diagram of Afghan Military structures.
Civil Military Relations; The paper raises some of the issues around the development of the Civil-Military relations and PRTs and the effect that that has on NGOs working in the field. (12/2/04)
